WELCOME TO TI PARADI, HAITI

Welcome to Ti Paradi !! Ti Paradi is a tiny village located on the southern coast of Haiti's Northwest Peninsula. It is the definition of struggle and poverty. The entire community is composed of about 60 families living on fish and conch harvested from the sea and a few vegetables grow in extremely poor soil. A few years ago Living Waters began a ministry there and in recent years have been joined by Global Compassion Ministries and Sustainable Food Production. Watch this blog to view the various projects being initiated there.

A Donkey load of sweet potato vines

February update

As the problems surrounding the earthquake persist we are reminded that all of the struggles and hardships at Ti Paradi remain. We are continuing to make plans for work there to help the community raise themselves out of some of their difficulties. Mr. Leonard continues to work on the garden projects there and here is a comment from the Leach's at Bombardopolis, "
The work at Ti Paradi is still progressing according to Mr. Leonard. He bought a donkey load of sweet potato vines to plant down there and has started filling one of the shade houses with fruit tree seedlings. Ti Paradi is sort of a natural oasis between Anse Rouj and Baie de Henne. We have a dream that one day people traveling that costal road will find there a refuge with coconut palms, bananas, and tropical fruit trees. Improving housing and better ways to harvest from the sea are also parts of our plans.
